Our Wedding

Colin and Alaina met on September 11th , 2022 at the most magical place Cape Breton has to offer: The Capri Cabaret. They parted the sweaty crowd like the red sea and danced the night away together.Colin and Alaina have been inseparable ever since. They purchased their first home together in 2024 and live there with 3 fur babies - Sailor, Skipper and Beatrice.On November 29th, 2025 Colin popped the question!After years of Alaina insisting she’d always see a proposal coming, Colin proved her gloriously wrong with a secret snowy-hike proposal at Uisge Bàn Falls.

They have opted not to have a best man or maid of honour and instead have chosen a wonderful group of their favourite people to share the spotlight.This amazing group will be there to celebrate, support, and make sure the day is filled with plenty of laughter.

Chelsea and Alaina have been inseparable friends since early elementary school. She is Alaina's biggest supporter and partner in crime. They share a lifetime of memories already, and Alaina is so happy to have her here for this one.

Megan and Alaina (also known as 209 A & B) were roommates during their first year at CBU. Megan was there the first night Alaina met Colin and will be standing right by her side as they tie the knot. Their bond is unmatched.

On the first day of Kindergarten Alaina walked up to Mia and said "are you Mia Francis? Do you want to be my best friend". Chaos, laughter, joy, and trouble has followed behind everyday since.

Jenna is the closest thing to sunshine in human form that Alaina has ever met. Childhood laughs turned lifelong friendship - Alaina truly couldn’t imagine life without her.

Emily is Colin's sister who immediately opened her arms to Alaina. No plan too big, no idea too wild for her help. Emily will be Alaina's sister by marriage, but her friend by choice.

Madison and Alaina have stuck by each other through thick and thin. Madison finds the fun in every situation and will be following in Nan Jane's footsteps to officiate the ceremony.

Joey hasn’t been able to get rid of Colin since high school. He’s always down for a shenanigan or two, usually with a side of bad ideas and good stories, making him a fun and obvious addition to the wedding party.

Tyler and Colin are buddies that have been causing trouble together for ages. Although Tyler has promised to behave this weekend, you will find him with a beer in his hand dancing the bottoms off his shoes.

Cameron has been stuck with Colin since high school—and at this point, there’s really no getting out of it. Although Cameron has been banned from the Microphone, he is always locked and loaded with a hilarious story for all to enjoy.

Moe has been one of Colin's closest friends for years. Moe is lovingly referred to as "The Other Woman" by both Colin and Alaina and will sure to be an absolute menace on the dance floor.

Jack has been Colin's friend since childhood. From camping together, to standing next to Colin on his wedding day, Jack has truly been there for Colin through it all.

Ty is Alaina's brother and Colin's friend since they met. Ty keeps us all calm, cool, and collected. There's no issue he can't handle without a beer and a laugh.

Colin and Alaina are encouraging guests to use this as the perfect excuse to dress up! Pull out that dress you never seem to have an occasion for, dust off that button-up, and - most importantly - be comfortable. We encourage colourful attire but it is not mandatory!We understand that a July wedding might be warm, but keep in mind that Newfoundland weather can change on a dime. The reception will be outside (weather permitting), so it’s a good idea to keep an eye not only on the temperature but also on the wind.In other words: come dressed for summer… but maybe keep a sweater nearby. Alaina's preferred method of travel to NL. The ferry docks in Alaina's home town of Port aux Basques. The 217 km drive to Corner Brook afterwards flys by with many beautiful views.

The Deer Lake Airport is an option for family and friends traveling to the rock. The airport is approximately 40 min away from Corner Brook
